Company MissionIt is our mission to:
Business Units Geostratics consists of three units namely Town Planning, Environmental Assessment and Management, Spatial Analysis/Research. The units are however linked and can thus provide a holistic approach to projects. TOWN PLANNING UNIT This unit focuses on Land use management related projects i.e. the change of land use requiring design and legal processing as well as the development of policy and Land use management systems.
ENVIRONMENTAL UNIT: This unit combines environmental management with spatial planning and thus focuses on development projects, conservation planning and environmental management of such projects.
SPATIAL ANALYSIS / RESEARCH UNIT: This unit provides a support service to projects undertaken by the other units as well as undertaking research mainly with a demographic and asset register objective as stand alone projects. GIS is used as a tool to capture, manage, analyse and display all forms of geographically referenced information.
Resources Expertise / Technical SkillsThe team members all have appropriate qualifications, solid experience, and complementary skills in the above fields. Report WritingThe consultants have substantial report writing experience and the capacity to produce documents of a high technical standard. Furthermore the consultants have the skill and capacity to liaise with officials and politicians and to facilitate public workshops. The capacity exists to deal with Afrikaans, English and Xhosa. ResearchGeostratics has the necessary technological and human resources to undertake extensive research projects requiring field work, database design, data collection and data capturing. Electronic capacityGeostratics has the necessary hardware, software and expertise to deliver products in an electronic format. PersonnelSpecific staff and specialist are dedicated to specific projects, ensuring specific expertise, consistency and continuity of the project. Public ParticipationThe team has the necessary experience and resources to facilitate workshops and do presentations in Afrikaans, English and Xhosa.
